Breakroom and pantry restocking in Oakland

One shopping list, as many kitchens as your Oakland office has: coffee, tea, fruit, snacks and drinks bought for your team and shelved floor by floor, with each kitchen left tidy.

Three floors, three kitchens, one list

An office spread across three floors of a downtown tower usually has three kitchens, and each one empties at its own pace. The coffee runs out on the sales floor by Wednesday while the finance floor still has a full shelf. Keeping all of them stocked turns into somebody’s unofficial second job. Oakland Janitorial Co’s pantry restocking takes it on, working from one shopping list and restocking every breakroom on a regular round.

It is booked separately from our janitorial work and our restroom stock, so it fits any Oakland workplace, whoever does the cleaning.

Splitting stock between kitchens

One list does not mean identical kitchens. We note how quickly each room goes through coffee, milk, fruit and snacks, then give each floor its own quantities. The busy sales floor gets deeper coffee and more cups; a quiet floor with a dozen desks gets a lighter load and less waste. A floor that hosts client meetings can carry extra bottled water and cups on top of its regular share. When a team moves floors or grows, the split moves with it.

Working with tower logistics

High-rises have rules, and we follow yours: badges, the freight elevator and the building’s delivery hours. Then we work floor by floor. In each kitchen the fresh stock goes behind what is already there, dated items come off the shelf and the coffee station gets topped off.

Before leaving a floor we wipe counters and tables, clear the coffee area of drips and empty packets, straighten the pantry shelves and fridge, and take out full trash, recycling and compost so the sorted bins stay sorted. The background-checked staff on your account do the same careful work each round.

The order itself

  • Coffee bar: whole bean, ground and single-serve coffee, cold brew concentrate, black and herbal teas, milk, oat milk, creamer and sweeteners.
  • Fruit bowl and snack shelf: apples, bananas and other fruit, nuts, dried fruit, crackers, rice cakes, granola bars and a handful of sweets.
  • Fridge: sparkling and still water, kombucha, juice and soft drinks.
  • Cups and serveware: cups, lids, sleeves, stirrers, filters, plates, bowls, utensils and napkins.

Some offices want a deep coffee selection and little else; others care most about fruit and sparkling water. The first order starts from what your people already reach for.

Agreeing the first list

One meeting covers it: the items, the diets to plan around and the monthly allowance. Vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, kosher and low-sugar choices are written beside the items they replace on each kitchen’s list, so the shopper buys them on every round. Requests from staff land on the next round, within the allowance.

Fitting around your cleaning

When we also handle your office cleaning, restocks can be lined up with a cleaning night, so mornings start with a cleaned kitchen and a stocked one. With day porter service, a porter can check milk, coffee and fruit on the busiest floors at midday.

Where a different vendor or in-house staff handles cleaning, the restock simply keeps its own calendar.

From high-rises to storefront offices

Whether your office is in a Downtown or Uptown tower or near the waterfront, the list is sized to its layout. An office with a kitchen on several floors needs its list split between them, while a single suite needs one well-sized order. Beyond the towers, the service suits coworking spaces in lofts and storefronts, clinics where staff eat in the minutes between patients, and retail shops with a small kitchen behind the sales floor.

Each neighborhood has its own building rules and rhythms, and the restock plan is written around yours.

What shapes the cost

Purchases come out of a monthly allowance that you decide. Our fee follows the office’s headcount, the size of the shopping list, the number of kitchens on the route and the restock frequency, all listed in the quote.

Restroom tissue, towels, liners, soap and sanitizer sit with our janitorial supplies service, and both can share one visit plan.

A few useful answers

Common questions.

How is stock split when we have several kitchens?

One list covers the whole office, and each kitchen gets its own quantities based on how quickly it goes through them.

Do you follow our building's freight elevator and badge rules?

Yes. Every restock follows your building’s badge, freight elevator and delivery-hour rules, the same way our cleaning crews do.

Will someone check the kitchens between restocks?

With day porter service, a porter can look over milk, coffee and fruit on the busiest floors at midday. Otherwise each kitchen is reset on its restock round.

Do we need Oakland Janitorial Co's cleaning to book pantry restocking?

No. Any workplace can book it alone, and offices that add our janitorial plan as well can line restocks up with a cleaning night.
