The view from a reclined chair

Dental patients spend long minutes tilted back and looking around. They notice the ceiling vent, the top of the upper cabinets, the overhead light housing and the baseboard by the door, all details a quick end-of-day tidy never touches. A waiting room with fresh upholstery and a smudge-free check-in counter sets a calm tone before the appointment, and an operatory that is spotless everywhere a reclined patient can look keeps that tone going.

Our evening crews take care of the whole practice: the entry, the waiting room and any children’s corner, the front desk and checkout window, consultation rooms, operatories, the sterilization area, x-ray and imaging rooms, an in-house lab if you run one, private offices, the staff lounge and every restroom.

Operatories, cleaned the way your practice writes it

Your assistants handle the turnover between patients. After hours, our crew goes further, working from the cleaning protocol your office manager or lead assistant hands us. That covers the dental chair’s base and whatever exterior surfaces your team lists, cabinet fronts and countertops, the sink and faucet, operator and assistant stools, door levers, light switches, wall-mounted monitors and the floor under the chair and out to the walls. Each operatory is worked in the order your protocol sets, high surfaces before low ones and the floor at the very end.

When an operatory needs a complete reset, for example after a remodel or before reopening a room that sat idle, book a terminal clean. The crew then takes the room from the high ledges and light fixtures down through reachable wall surfaces and cabinetry to the floor, and hands it back ready for your team to set up.

Disinfectants, training and patient privacy

The disinfectants on our carts carry EPA registration, and the crew leaves each one wet on the surface for the full label dwell time before wiping. Every cleaner who enters your practice has finished training in bloodborne-pathogen safety. Charts, schedules and screens showing patient details are off limits: crews follow HIPAA-aware habits, wiping around paperwork and keyboards at the front desk without reading, opening or rearranging anything.

The sterilization area and the rooms behind it

The sterilization area keeps the schedule moving, and it has its own order, from the dirty side where instruments arrive to the clean side where packs wait for the next day. Our crew cleans its counters, sink, cabinet fronts and floor as your protocol directs, once your assistants have finished the day’s cycles and stored the instruments. Imaging rooms get the same care: the exterior surfaces your team approves are wiped, and the floor beneath the panoramic unit is cleaned to the walls.

Staff spaces get steady janitorial care. Lounge counters, the sink, microwave and refrigerator handles and the lunch table are cleaned, locker fronts are wiped, the staff restroom is cleaned and restocked, and office carpets are vacuumed. Every bin in every room is emptied on every visit, so the practice starts each morning with nothing left from yesterday.

Waiting room, check-in and patient restrooms

Waiting room chairs are wiped or vacuumed to suit their fabric, magazines and toys are straightened, the children’s corner gets its table and floor cleaned, and the entrance glass and door hardware are wiped. The check-in counter, its glass panel and the card reader are wiped too. Patient restrooms get fixtures, mirrors, counters and floors cleaned and their paper and soap refilled.

Practices that want more than the nightly routine can add a periodic restroom deep clean at whatever interval suits your patient volume, or our disinfection and sanitizing service for an extra pass over the counters, handles and armrests patients touch on the way in.

Floors under rolling stools and carts

Operatory floors take rolling stools, chair bases and instrument carts all day, and sheet vinyl and VCT show it in scuffs and a dull track from the door to the chair. Our floor care crew machine scrubs those floors on a schedule and can strip and refinish VCT over a weekend while the office is closed, so the finish has time to cure before Monday’s first patient. Carpet in the waiting room, hallways and offices gets hot-water extraction on a periodic plan, with spot treatment in between.

Dental suites, storefronts and stand-alone offices

Oakland’s dental practices work out of many kinds of space: suites in medical and professional office buildings, upper-floor offices in downtown towers, storefront practices on neighborhood commercial streets and single-story buildings with their own small lots. Each layout changes the route. A tower suite follows the building’s after-hours entry and freight rules, while a storefront needs extra care at the entry and the street-facing glass. Your rooms, your hours and your closed days go into the written plan before the first night, and our medical office cleaning page covers clinics and other medical practices.

Nobody joins the crew for your practice without first clearing a background check. Insurance, a bond and workers’ compensation are all in place, and the practice’s vendor file gets our certificate of insurance before cleaning starts. Supervisors carry out quality inspections on a set rotation and share what they see, so a missed baseboard or a dulling floor gets corrected before a patient ever mentions it.

A few useful answers

Common questions.

Are operatories part of the nightly clean?

Yes. Crews clean them every visit after hours, following the written protocol your practice gives us, along with the sterilization area, front office, restrooms and staff rooms.

What time do your crews arrive?

After the last patient and your team have wrapped up, usually in the evening. Practices with Saturday hours or long clinical days can move the visit later at night or to a day the office is closed.

Can we hand you our own cleaning protocol?

Yes, and we ask for it. Bring it to the walkthrough and it becomes the task list for each operatory and the sterilization area, so every visit follows the same written steps.

Will your products suit our chairs and countertops?

Surface materials are checked during the walkthrough, and the EPA-registered disinfectants used on them are matched to those materials and left on for the dwell time each label states. If your practice already standardizes on one product, the crew can use that one.

Can you terminal clean just one operatory?

Yes. Pick the room and a night, for example after construction next door or before an idle operatory goes back into use, and that room is cleaned top to bottom that night.
